Pupil was born from a desire to Design a collection for both indoor and outdoor environments, in a resistant yet stylish material, and with a luxury feel to it.
Marble was on the list of the preferred materials, but had many inconveniences in the shape and style that came out of the Design process. Heavy weight, organic shapes and lack of machinery in Vietnam for complex cutting operations... What would have been very challenging with natural stone, would have also been very costly for the environment because of the very high wastage rate induced by the shape itself. So we abandoned marble for a Poly-resin material that can be molded, and reproduced easily for mass-production. We were lucky to find a supplier whose technique to reproduce the marble pattern is unparalleled in Asia!
We are now offering all the products of the Pupil range in 4 different finishes and colors, with a very high-end mix of materials, going from special wood finishes for the tops, to smoked glass and PVD brass details.
