Every Month, Casa Mia is planting 12 trees in Vietnam, country where we operate, as a pay back to our Mother Nature, who offers (for free) the raw material we use to make our furniture.
We do not produce with Vietnamese timber species, as our wood is 100% imported. Of course we would prefer to source locally, from legally harvested forests, but Vietnam is lacking the traceability needed to deliver the FSC label that we require from our timber suppliers.
To compensate for our carbon footprint, and because we don’t make furniture without trees, we decided to join the “One Tree Planted” project, with the goal to plant a minimum of 200 trees per year in a regular donation form (12 trees per Month), and occasional one-off donations to Nature when disaster trikes...in California, in Australia, in Europe or elsewhere…
At Casa Mia we believe it is not only our duty as a furniture business, but as individuals to protect our forests and with them our ecosystems for the future generations.
